The Society for Neuroscience is the world's largest organization of scientists and physicians devoted to understanding the brain and nervous system. SfN's mission is to advance understanding by bringing together scientists of diverse backgrounds, facilitating the integration of research across the field, and encouraging the application of scientific knowledge to improve disease treatments and cures. Through The Journal of Neuroscience and the open-access journal, eNeuro, SfN provides publishing opportunities, in addition to professional development resources for its members and the field. Science advocacy and public outreach about the importance of neuroscience research are key to SfN's mission.
